To discover another gem of the South Caucasus, join us on a trip from Tbilisi to Yerevan and back! The program includes visits to the Akhpat and Sanaini monasteries, the cozy Dilijan, the high-altitude Lake Sevan with the Sevanavank monastery, and a city tour of Yerevan covering its most iconic landmarks.
What to Expect
Embark on a full-day exciting trip to Armenia from Tbilisi. We will make stops at beautiful viewpoints, visit Lake Sevan, take a stroll in Dilijan, and explore the top attractions of Yerevan.
Itinerary
- 06:00 - Departure from Tbilisi
- 09:30 - Akhpat Monastery. This functioning monastery consists of a narthex, two burial vaults, a refectory, a scriptorium, the Amenaprkich chapel, a bell tower, and several chapels. Enjoy the architectural ensemble and visit ancient tombs and Khachkars.
- 10:30 - Sanaini Monastery, Alaverdi (1 hour). A major medieval center in Northern Armenia. Explore the church ensemble, the roofs of green buildings, and the interior spaces with vaults and columns.
- 12:00 - Dilijan (25 minutes). Visit the monument to famous Armenian actors, taste the renowned Dilijan water.
- 14:00 - Sevan Lake (1 hour). Lunch at a restaurant with a magnificent view of the water. Don't miss the chance to try the local delicacy - Sevan fish.
- 16:00 - Sevanavank Monastery (30 minutes). Visit the complex of temples of St. Karapet and the Holy Apostles, built in the 9th century.
- 17:00 - Yerevan Modern Art Museum (1 hour)
- 18:00 - Fountain and shopping street at Republic Square (1 hour)
- 19:00 - Departure to Tbilisi
- 23:00 - Arrival
