Do you need to get from Yerevan to the capital of Georgia? I recommend doing this as productively as possible - after all, there are so many interesting places along the way with their fascinating stories. You can pass by them and not notice this beauty - but only if you don't embark on a trip with me. I will fill your journey between the two capitals with rich stories and picturesque locations.
What to expect
Lake Sevan and Sevanavank
On the way, we will stop at the famous lake and visit Sevanavank - the only ancient Armenian monastery founded by a woman, Princess Miriam, the daughter of Ashot I Bagratuni. From the peninsula, a beautiful view of the water expanses will open up.
Old Dilijan and Maral Farm
This resort town is called the 'Armenian Switzerland'. We will take a stroll through the old part of the picturesque Dilijan, and I will tell you its history. After that, we will visit the Maral Farm, where we will interact with cute animals.
Haghartsin Monastery
And then we will drive to the ancient monastery hidden in the woods. We will walk through the monastery complex, which houses 4 churches. We will see the untouched tomb of the king and a tree that fulfills wishes. Also, in the monastery, they bake delicious gata - a pie with sweet filling. You will be able to try it.
Organizational details
- The cost of the tour includes transfer, a visit to the Maral Farm, and guide services
- The journey will take place in a seven-seater Toyota Ipsum. A child car seat can be provided for an additional fee.
- Gata is paid separately: from 1000 to 4000 drams
- I can pick up a group of up to 6 people. But if you have a lot of luggage, only 4 passengers will fit in the car.
- I will pick you up from any location in Yerevan and deliver you to any place in Tbilisi
- At your request, we can add other stops to the route. Details will be discussed in private correspondence.
