About this experience
We have designed the program so that in one day you will visit various attractions of Armenia and get a general idea about it. You will walk in the picturesque resort town and visit an ancient functioning monastery. See the largest lake in the Caucasus and visit the Sevanavank Monastery. Explore the historical center of the capital. And taste dishes of the national cuisine.
What to expect
Dilijan (30-40 minutes). You will learn about the history of the famous mountain-climatic resort. You will walk through cozy streets. And take a photo near the monument to the characters from 'Mimino' with water that 'ranks second in the world after San Francisco'.
Agartsin (50-60 minutes). Near Dilijan, you will visit the picturesque monastery from the 10th-13th centuries. The complex includes three churches: Surb Astvatsatsin, Surb Grigor, and Surb Stepanos. To this day, the refectory and the remains of the burial place of the Bagratid royal family have also been preserved.
Sevanavank Monastery and Lake Sevan (1 hour). Traveling through Armenia is unthinkable without the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the largest high-mountain freshwater lakes in the world. You will admire its landscapes and visit the 9th-century sanctuary located on the shore of Sevan. From the mountain where the monastery is located, you will see a captivating view of the emerald expanses.
Yerevan (2 hours). To conclude, we will head to the capital of Armenia. You will walk through a park with a view of Mount Ararat. Take a photo near the 'Mother Armenia' monument. Visit the main square of the city - Republic Square. And learn about the main attractions of the historical center. There will be a lunch break in the middle of the program at a local restaurant (30-40 minutes).
