About this experience
During this extraordinary tour, you will combine gastronomic pleasure with intellectual enrichment. You will immerse yourself in the spirit of history at the country's iconic sites, be enchanted by the view of the great Ararat, and feel the atmosphere of homely comfort at a traditional dinner with locals.
What to Expect
- Hor Virap. Located about half an hour's drive from Yerevan is the Hor Virap Monastery. This is a true gem of our country. You will discover the history of this holy place and enjoy the breathtaking view of Ararat.
- Birds Cave. This attraction is located about one and a half kilometers east of the village of Areni. Here, archaeologists found the oldest shoes in the world and a place adapted for wine production. This ancient winery has a history of over 5000 years.
- Noravank. Through a winding gorge with steep red cliffs, we will head to the monastery, which was built back in the 12th century. You will ascend to a picturesque plateau and appreciate the Martian landscapes.
- Dinner with homemade wine tasting. After the culturally enlightening overview, you will visit my country house, where in an atmosphere of warmth and coziness, you will learn to cook the flagship dishes of Armenia and taste homemade wine of different flavors.
- If you wish, you can stay overnight at my place. The next day, I will take you back to Yerevan, or we can explore the beauties of Armenia: Tatev, Karahunj, the swaying bridge, Nagorno-Karabakh, Sevan. Or even head to Georgia!
