About this experience
Join us for a walk through the bustling streets of Tokyo. In lively Shinjuku with huge skyscrapers harmoniously coexisting with temples, you will learn why business centers were decided to be built here. And in the big entertainment district Kabuki-cho, you will understand the differences between local nightclubs and why some of them are only for women.
What to expect
Shinjuku - skyscrapers and 3D cat
Shinjuku is a concentration of elite business centers and noisy bars that contrast with parks, typical low-rise buildings in Japan, and temples from the Edo period.
You will walk along the capital's skyscrapers, climb to a height and take in the wide expanse of Tokyo's architecture. Walk through the famous retro alley from the Showa era and meet the local 3D cat.
Kabuki-cho - Japanese red light district
You will see the variety of neon signs of various entertainment venues. Passing through Kabuki-cho, you will find yourself in a small area where about 300 old and new bars are concentrated, each with its own unique atmosphere.
We will tell you about typical entertainment venues and traditional izakayas. I will explain which bars are for women only, and which are for men only.
Shinjuku Shrine - Japanese religion
We will end the walk at the Shinto shrine-guardian of Shinjuku, where you can pray to the gods for upcoming journeys and wish fulfillment. You will learn how Shintoism differs from Buddhism and how the lives of the Japanese are regulated by these beliefs.
