About this experience
How diverse, colorful, and contradictory Tokyo can be! You will see how centuries-old traditions and history closely intertwine with modern trends, hobbies, and the taste preferences of the Land of the Rising Sun's inhabitants. Exploring Tokyo, you will learn a lot of new things and understand why D. Clavell wrote in his book 'Shogun': 'the Japanese have six faces and three hearts'.
What to expect
Yoyogi Park. Our mini-journey will begin at one of Tokyo's most beautiful parks, where you will feel the atmosphere of a sacred forest surrounding the main Shinto shrine - Meiji Jingu. On the way to it, we will talk about the symbols and characteristic features of Shinto shrines. If we're lucky, we will see a wedding ceremony on the shrine grounds, accompanied by beautiful rituals. We will also discuss the Meiji period and its significance in Japan's history.
Harajuku District. Here we will immerse ourselves in the world of local subcultures. We will stroll along Takeshita Street, where you will meet fashionable teenagers and vibrant cafes.
Shibuya District. On the way to it, we will walk along one of Tokyo's main shopping streets - Omotesando. Here you will find global clothing and other goods brands to suit any taste and budget. In Shibuya, you will enjoy 3D animation with animals, cross one of the busiest intersections in the world, and if desired, appreciate its scale from a height.
Love Valley, where you will see how modern dating spots for the Japanese look.
Hachiko. Finally, we will take a memorable photo with the faithful dog whose story became known worldwide.
