Marvel at the city's magnificent views on a boat cruise. You will admire the Buda Castle and the Parliament, the Fisherman's Bastion towers, and other important sights. For dinner, you will sample traditional Hungarian dishes such as goulash, strudel. All accompanied by live music!
What to Expect
Budapest Sights from the Water
The boat will depart from the dock near the Chain Bridge in central Budapest, sail upstream to Margaret Island, and then to the modern Rakoczi Bridge. You will enjoy the main attractions of Buda and Pest: the Buda Castle on a high hill, the Fisherman's Bastion towers, Matthias Church, Elizabeth Bridge, Gellert Hill. All complemented by pleasant melodies performed by professional musicians on board.
Traditional Hungarian-style Dinner
The restaurant's chef on the boat will prepare traditional Hungarian treats for you. You can choose between two menus: the standard one includes a welcome drink, traditional Hungarian goulash soup, strudel pastry (with various fillings to choose from), and 1 drink (beer/wine/non-alcoholic drink/mineral water).
In the extended menu, you will have a buffet-style dinner:
- Soups: vegetable and goulash
- Main course: fried pork in its own juice, chicken ragout, turkey meatball stew, and eggplant tower
- Salads made from fresh vegetables with various dressings
- Side dishes: pasta - dumplings, potato rosti and vegetables, grilled vegetables
- For dessert: strudel pastry with various fillings and creamy pudding
Organizational Details
Cruise Process
- This is not a historical tour, but a cruise. The format of this program does not include guided sightseeing
- The program does not involve personal tourist assistance. Guests arrive at the meeting point and depart after the program on their own. If the guests ask the waiters to call a taxi, they will kindly do so.
- Depending on the number of cruise participants, waiters seat guests at tables of 4 - 8 - 12 people each. Seating guests at tables of 2 is possible with incomplete boat load and available empty tables.
- Different menus are available based on the purchased ticket
- No animals are allowed on the boat. Exception - guide dogs
Important Notes
- If you cancel your order 48 hours or less before the start of the tour, the payment made on the website is non-refundable. No force majeure exceptions apply.
- For an additional fee of 20 euros per participant (regardless of age), you can book a table by the window. When choosing this option, you need to contact the guide and fully pay for the order no later than 3 days before the cruise.
