About this experience
Evening Budapest will captivate you with its beauty, secrets, and enchanting atmosphere! You will delve into the history of ancient Austro-Hungarian architecture, stroll along the main streets, and see Budapest's most famous buildings - the Parliament and the Basilica of St. Stephen. I will tell you about life in Hungary from the inside, its interesting traditions and customs, and share life hacks: you will learn how to 'save' your wallet and still have a great time in the capital.
What to expect
Capital architecture in the magical light of lanterns
You will see the Parliament, the city's 'business card', learn its history and the secrets of royal relics that are still kept under the dome. You will walk through Hungary's financial center, visit Freedom Square, and relax during a pleasant promenade along the Danube. Enjoying the fairytale atmosphere of the evening city, you will walk through the central streets and admire the imperial grand buildings and beautiful shop windows on Andrássy Avenue. I will talk about Budapest's main architectural treasures and how modern Hungary lives: its traditions, culture, and, of course, cuisine.
Life hacks and the first European metro
In the second part of the tour, you will travel back to 1896 with the 'metro-mobile'. I will tell you when and under what circumstances the first metro in continental Europe was opened. You will visit the capital's largest temple, St. Stephen's Basilica, executed in neoclassical style and learn interesting details about its history. Next, you will visit the famous Heroes' Square and unravel the mystery of Vajdahunyad Castle. Finally, if you wish, you can visit one of the capital's cafes and discuss what you have seen. I will share practical recommendations to help plan your further rest: how to avoid unnecessary expenses, where to eat deliciously, where to relax in a bathhouse, and which party to attend.
