About this experience
Yerevan will open up to you like a box with secret compartments on one of two routes—each will be a memorable first meeting with the city. On the red route, you will explore old streets and courtyards, learn about local cuisine, and enjoy the views from the Cascade. The blue route will introduce you to Armenian culture, covering the main cathedral, Republic Square, and the colorful Vernissage.
What to expect
We have prepared two completely different and rich routes in Yerevan for you, conventionally designated Red and Blue, alternating every other day. Which route to choose? According to guests, it's better to do both, as they do not intersect anywhere and complement each other to the maximum. The Red is more authentic and non-touristy, while the Blue delves deep into Armenian traditions and is more touristic. Both routes start at the monument to the diplomat and writer Alexander Griboedov.
Red Route: the most authentic Yerevan, a walk through non-touristic locations
— The theater where the great actor Frunzik Mkrtchyan served until his last days, and you will learn where the merriest Armenians live
— Park of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan, revealing the essence of the Yerevanian mentality through details
— Yerevan City Hall
— The only active mosque in Yerevan, the Blue Mosque
— Indoor market
— Kond District (Old Town), unfairly called a slum district
— Big Cascade
— Monument to Tamanyan
— Center of contemporary art
You will stroll through the backyards of Yerevan and soak up the charm of the non-touristy city. You'll see the place where the premiere of the comedy "Woe from Wit" took place in the presence of the author.
At the end of this walk, you will enjoy a bird's eye view of the capital, and if the weather is clear, you may also see Mount Ararat.
Blue Route: a classic tour with immersion, the main "must-haves" of Yerevan
— Visiting the largest Armenian cathedral in the world
— Republic Square—the central square of Yerevan
— Colorful Vernissage market
— Yerevan courtyards from the 19th century

— the most famous drinking fountain in Yerevan
— Zero kilometer point
— Meeting an unusual resident of Yerevan
— Swan Lake
— Opera and Ballet Theater
— The place where the Armenian radio is located (you will learn why jokes started to be made about it)
But it's not just about the city's history. The guide will reveal numerous secrets and provide invaluable life hacks.
And as a bonus, you will receive a master class in creating authentic Armenian carpets using ancient technology.
Also:
In each of the two routes, the guide will point out:
— Where to buy the most delicious wine and dried fruits, souvenirs
