About this experience
I invite you to take a guided walk through Yerevan, during which it will reveal itself to you as a city with centuries-old traditions and culture, as well as a modern and developing capital. You will learn about its history, visit famous landmarks, explore lesser-known but equally interesting corners, sample local cuisine, and hear about the life of the locals from a native resident.
What to Expect
- Old City You will visit iconic places in the old city: the Cascade and Opera, Mashtots Avenue, Victory Park with the mighty monument of 'Mother Armenia' and an observation deck offering a panoramic view of the city. You will visit the Memorial to the Victims of the 1915 Genocide, the Vernissage market (on Saturdays and Sundays), and of course, the legendary Ararat Brandy Factory. If you enjoy museums, you can explore the Matenadaran - the repository of ancient manuscripts, the National Gallery of Armenia, the Sergei Parajanov House-Museum - in short, all the places that even locals cannot remain indifferent to.
- New City Next, you will explore the attractions of the new Yerevan: Northern Avenue running through the center, the Gafesjian Museum Complex of Contemporary Art, new malls, and cafes. I will show you not only the 'must-see' places but also those that are not on the mandatory visit list.
The tour is flexible, tailored to your interests and preferences.
