About this experience
On our friendly walk, you will uncover the rich history of Vienna and see it through the eyes of locals. Choose between two routes: the red one will introduce you to the main landmarks of the majestic city, the blue one - to the Medieval Vienna. We will not only show you the highlights, but also help you navigate Vienna in the first days of your trip, find delicious cafes, and unique Austrian souvenirs!
What to expect
We offer a tour on two rich routes that alternate every other day. These are two interesting and absolutely different stories about Vienna. The red route is perfect for the first walk around the city, the blue one is the 'second date'. Together, they will help you form a comprehensive idea of the Austrian capital!
Red route: imperial Vienna - 'must-see' places
You will see the main attractions of Vienna, a great starting point to get to know the city: the most beautiful square - Albertina Platz, the Hofburg Palace, the house where Mozart lived, the city's first cafe, the Minoriten Church, the stunning St. Stephen's Cathedral, the famous Hotel Sacher where the Sacher Torte was invented, and much more! You will learn about the secrets and intrigues of the royal court, not get lost in the Habsburgs, follow the routes of artists and composers.
Blue route: uncharted trails and medieval spirit
On this walk, you will turn off the tourist paths into the atmospheric narrow streets of Vienna to see city life from the inside. We will pass by Kapuzinerkirche and the Church of St. Francis, resembling a fairytale castle; talk about Vienna as the musical capital of the world, discuss curious stories of creating famous musical masterpieces. You will 'wander' through the medieval part of Vienna, peek into its courtyards, reveal its secrets.
Useful tips - on both routes
Our guides will tell you how to use Viennese transport, where to go for the most delicious local cuisine and Austrian beer, where to find the best places for shopping. You will also learn how to choose authentic Austrian souvenirs and which Viennese museums to visit after the tour.
