Iconic places in Pest
Danube divides Budapest into two parts: Buda stands on hills, and Pest lies on a plain. First, we will explore Pest. You will hear the history of the Millennium Monument in Heroes' Square, admire the fairytale Vajdahunyad Castle and Széchenyi Bath - the first medicinal spa of the capital. Additionally, I will show you the legendary Gundel restaurant and explain what it is famous for. On Andrássy Avenue, you will enjoy grand houses, the Opera House, and St. Stephen's Basilica. Kossuth Square will impress you with the magnificent building of the Parliament.
Hilly and beautiful Buda
The Chain Bridge will lead us to Buda. Here, you will uncover the secrets of Buda Castle and the Royal Palace, enjoy marvelous views of the Danube from the Fisherman's Bastion, and see the residences of the president and prime minister. Additionally, I will show you the elegant Matthias Church, built in the late Gothic style, and explain the specifics of Hungarian architecture.
