About this experience
Together we will explore two parts of Budapest located on different banks of the Danube: hilly Buda and flat Pest. You will enjoy the city's panorama from the best viewpoints, ride along the central Andrássy Avenue, and hear the stories of ancient buildings. I will help you immerse yourself in the past and present of the Hungarian capital, telling you about local traditions, culture, and mentality.
What to Expect
Pest: Parliament, Andrássy Avenue, and Majestic Squares
Our acquaintance with Budapest will start at Heroes' Square and the Városliget Park, where I will show you Vajdahunyad Castle and the famous Széchenyi Thermal Bath. Then we will drive along the grand Andrássy Avenue and reach the historic center. You will see the Opera House, Gresham Palace, the Academy of Sciences, and St. Stephen's Basilica with the country's largest bell. You will uncover the complex history of Liberty Square and appreciate the grandeur of the Neo-Gothic Parliament building.
Buda: Hills, Churches, Fortress, and Cobbled Streets
We will climb Castle Hill, home to Buda Castle and the ensemble of the Royal Palace. You will admire small medieval houses, reach the elegant Matthias Church, explore ancient courtyards, find an entrance to the underground labyrinth, and visit the Fisherman's Bastion for a magnificent view of the city and the Danube. Moreover, from Buda's viewpoints, we will see Gellért Hill, the Citadel, and the Statue of Liberty.
