About this experience
On a comfortable car or bus, you will tour almost the entire city center, and during stops and walking tours, you will see Heroes' Square, City Park, the famous Széchenyi Thermal Bath, Vajdahunyad Castle, the Royal Palace, and other important sights. Stories about the founding and development of Budapest, legends about royal dynasties, and famous residents of the city will bring the view outside the window to life. We will make stops at the main observatory platforms, where you will enjoy breathtaking panoramas and view the Hungarian capital from different angles.
What to expect
Budapest in detail
You will walk through Heroes' Square - one of the iconic landmarks for the locals. I will tell you about the heroes of Hungary immortalized in the sculptures of the ensemble and introduce you to the country's historic milestones. From the square, we will head to City Park - an urban forest with around 7,000 trees. The park is also home to the famous Széchenyi Thermal Bath - a complex of pools with thermal water. By one of the lakes, you will have a magnificent view of Vajdahunyad Castle - an eclectic building combining elements of Hungary's most famous structures.
Cathedrals, palaces, and observatories
The stroll will continue to the city's largest cathedral - St. Stephen's Basilica. Here, I will tell you about the king in whose honor the cathedral was consecrated and explain how he influenced the state's formation. Next, you will arrive at Royal Palace, where you can admire the facade of the majestic building and learn about its transformation since the 13th century. And, of course, visit Matthias Church and the whitewashed Fisherman's Bastion. On the observation platform on Gellért Hill, you will see the city's bridges connecting Buda, Pest, and Óbuda, and hear the history of their unification.
