I will take you through the streets of the Old Town to the best architectural masterpieces of Bratislava, tell countless stories and legends that fill every corner of the city. Secrets of the crooked entrance to the city through Michael's Gate and the mysteries of tapestries miraculously preserved to this day will be revealed to you. You will learn about the Mirror Hall of the Primatial Palace, where Napoleon signed the capitulation. You will hear the history of the palace crowned with a cardinal's hat and the motto of Queen Maria Theresa. And then we will walk the coronation route of the great queen to the Church of St. Martin, where many European monarchs were crowned, including almost the entire legendary Habsburg dynasty.
Secrets of Monastic Orders
In medieval Europe, almost every family belonged to a religious order, which is why priests were called princes. We will visit the temples of some orders you have probably heard of: from the merry Capuchins and the fierce Jesuits to the mysterious Poor Clares and the Royal Order of the Knights of the Golden Spur.
