About this experience
Bang Krachao is a huge park area in the concrete jungles of Bangkok that most travelers are unaware of. Along special bike paths, we will explore the peninsula, ride through the botanical garden and fruit plantations, visit the floating market, and taste the delicacies of Thai cuisine. You will experience the daily life and traditions of local residents, visit an amazing temple dedicated to bees, interact with a Buddhist monk, and see the Hindu sanctuary of Big Ganesha.
What to Expect
Stunning Views and Landscapes
Our route will take us through real jungles and plantations of exotic fruits. We will visit a gallery of fighting fish and a beautiful park area with ponds, bridges, fountains, and a well-kept garden where local newlyweds like to have photoshoots. In the botanical garden Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan, we will observe unique mangrove plants that can survive in brackish water. Riding on wooden bridges over the water, we will enjoy beautiful landscapes, and then climb to an observation deck with a wonderful view of the peninsula.
Floating Market and Thai Cuisine
Passing by backyard plots and fruit orchards on water, we will arrive at the floating market. Here you will get a closer look at Thai spices, incenses, taste dishes of the national cuisine, and definitely try Thai sweets and fruits. There is also a mini zoo on the market grounds where you can feed the animals by hand, for example, treat giant carps from a baby bottle :)
Religions and Temples of Thailand
We will visit an amazing temple where bees are worshipped. We will interact with a Buddhist monk who will perform a ritual with us to attract luck and tie protective threads on our wrists. Then we will head to the sanctuary of Big Ganesha - the god of wisdom and prosperity. I will tell you an interesting legend about the god Shiva and his sons, as well as share many interesting facts about the religions and traditions of the Kingdom of Thailand.
