About this experience
During this walking tour, we will get acquainted with Lisbon in all its beauty! We will start at Lisbon's main square - Rossio - by the monument to King Don Pedro IV and continue to the monument dedicated to the Restoration of the Monarchy, where you will see one of the city's most interesting railway stations.
What to expect
We will take a ride on the famous Gloria Funicular to the picturesque viewpoint - Miradouro de San Pedro de Alcantara, from where you will enjoy a delightful view of Lisbon's tiled roofs, surrounded by parks and gardens. A charming cobblestone street, winding along the renowned restaurants and nightlife district of Bairro Alto, will lead us to the bohemian district of Chiado, where famous shops and the historic cafe Brasileira are located. We will see antique trams rushing along narrow rails and the unusual neo-gothic Santa Justa Lift, which is a true gem of the capital.
The antique district of Alfama will reveal itself to us in its narrow alleyways and walls adorned with colorful tiles, while the picturesque viewpoint of Santa Luzia with panoramic views of the city Odyssey will transport us to the world of medieval legends.
I hope you will find my historical overview of these places interesting, and the tips for staying in Lisbon will be useful ;)
