About this experience
To feel the atmosphere of Barcelona, it is enough to visit a few places that will come together to form a vivid picture. I suggest not only seeing these places, but also sketching them. We will spend an unforgettable day drawing one of the most romantic cities in the world, combining creativity with walks and stories about the history of the capital of Catalonia and the peculiarities of modern life.
What to Expect
Even if you have zero or close to zero drawing experience, you will create beautiful sketches. The secret lies in step-by-step instructions, live demonstrations, and some tricks and tips that I will share along the way.
You will make three sketches:
- For the first one, we will choose one of the most famous buildings - Sagrada Familia, Basilica de la Merce, the Cathedral of Barcelona, Cascada, Triumphal Arch. It will be the tourist facade of the city.
- The second sketch will be dedicated to a place with an interesting atmosphere. These can be fragments of houses and streets of the Old Town, waterfronts, picturesque panoramas.
- The third sketch - scenes of street life. Spaniards spend a significant part of their leisure time in street cafes, chatting for hours over a mug of beer or a glass of wine. We will join this fun pastime, but add notebooks and pencils to combine the pleasant with the useful.
Organizational Details
- I provide all the necessary materials for drawing: graphite pencils, sketchbooks
- Additional expenses (optional): public transportation (if needed), snacks, drinks
- Please do not forget a hat, sunscreen, and drinking water in the summer. Dress warmly and windproof in winter.
