About this experience
Let's meet for an inspiring walk through the historical districts of Lisbon! You'll have a sketchbook in your hands. We will wander through the streets, admiring urban panoramas, colorful buildings and their details, choosing the most beautiful and interesting scenes. Step by step, I will show you how to make cool sketches and give you plenty of advice to turn sketching into an engaging and relaxing process.
What to Expect
Relaxed Atmosphere
Our walk will take us through the city center. Wide avenues, winding streets, descending from Martim Moniz Castle, small squares, forgotten fountains and washbasins, underground tunnels, gardens amidst traditional residential quarters – we will choose what inspires us. It is the city's heterogeneity and the contrast of locations that give Lisbon its special charm and beauty.
A Sketchbook Full of Impressions
First, we will visit the 'Art Garage' and admire the works of the artist Miguel Januario. Fueled with inspiration, we will start drawing ourselves. Sketching is meditation, an original way to capture what you see, and an opportunity to find your own way of observing the city. You will have a whole sketchbook of sketches, which is better than a photo album – because it's more unique.
While we draw, I will share insider information with you: where to find the best art materials or special souvenirs, where to eat deliciously, or how to move from one level of the city to another without extra physical strain.
Who Should Attend
Creative individuals of all ages! Children under 10 draw better than me and other adults, so they can accompany us completely free of charge. They will have their own sketchbooks, but they will have to share pencils and pens with their parents. However, we will be sitting or standing for a long time, which can be painful for children. But if your little artists are ready for a serious creative experiment, welcome!
