About this experience
Get ready for an exciting historical journey, where each coin will be a key to the fascinating world of ancient temples and cultural landmarks. What to Expect
Royal Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple (1.5 hours)
This spiritual heart of the country is adorned on a 1 baht coin. During the tour inside the palace, you will learn about the lives of the Ancient Siam kings, admire the rich decorations, and see the Emerald Buddha, which the Thai king personally dresses three times a year during seasonal changes.
“Golden Mount” Wat Saket (1 hour)
The 2 baht coin features the temple complex of Wat Saket – arguably the most beautiful in the Kingdom. It towers over old houses in the historical part of Bangkok. Your guide will tell you how the “Golden Mount” is connected to a cholera epidemic and why this place has become a center of Buddhists' pilgrimage.
Temple of Dawn Wat Arun (1 hour)
This incredible landmark is depicted on the 10 baht coin. In the past, the temple was a temporary royal residence of King Taksin. And now it is one of the most visited tourist spots in the capital.
Marble Palace Wat Benchamabophit (1 hour)
You can see this elegant palace built of white Carrara marble on 5 baht currency notes. Inside its walls, there is a bronze copy of the Phra Phutthachinnarat Buddha (we will tell you why Buddhists consider it the most beautiful image of the spiritual teacher), and beneath this statue lies the ashes of the great Thai King Rama V.
