About this experience
Venetians do not dine in tourist restaurants. They gather with friends for bacaro tours: visiting bars, having drinks and snacks. This is exactly what we will do! You will see the sights of Venice and its insider spots. I will share how locals live and what they do when the city floods. I will show you where to buy the most delicious Spritz and the best cicchetti.
What to Expect
You will walk around the city and see the main attractions - St. Mark's Cathedral and the Academy Bridge. Stroll along non-touristy paths and explore lesser-known places - Campo Santo Stefano square and the Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari church. I will tell you how locals like to spend their time and reveal some of their secrets - for example, how to leave the house when the city is flooded.
During the walk, we, like true Venetians, will visit bars, get wine or a Spritz cocktail, and Italian snacks - cicchetti - to go. This is called a bacaro tour here, and the locals often spend their time this way. You will see Venice through the eyes of locals and literally taste it.
