At night, you can't get into museums and mosques, but Istanbul transforms: atmospheric lights turn on, landmarks look more festive with lighting, there are fewer people and cars on the streets. This is the perfect time to explore the main places of the city and learn its history. But Istanbul doesn't fall asleep: its nightlife is buzzing, and you will see how locals relax after sunset.
What to expect
In a comfortable car, we will drive through several districts of Istanbul, where we will stop and explore the most interesting places on foot.
Sultanahmet. This district boasts the impressive heritage of the Eastern Roman and Ottoman empires. The architecture of different eras will transport you to the past, and I will supplement the immersion in history with curious facts. You will learn about the secrets of Hagia Sophia, about the uniqueness and role of this sanctuary at all times. Then we will admire the Blue Mosque - a masterpiece of Istanbul's magnificent era. We will walk around the square where the ancient Hippodrome was located and see what remains here from the Roman Empire.
Istiklal Street. The liveliest district of Istanbul, reminiscent of London's Soho and Paris' Pigalle, where life is bustling 24 hours a day. You will feel the atmosphere of the city's secular part by walking along the favorite bar streets of the locals. Here you will also see the burning Genoese beauty - Galata Tower.
Ortaköy. If you ask the people of Istanbul what place is the gem of the city, most will name Ortaköy. Why has this small promenade received such love from the locals? For its romantic view with the lights of the Bosphorus Bridge and the homonymous mosque, which resembles a neat palace.
Arnavutköy. Once again, we will immerse ourselves in the world of locals, this time in one of the most prestigious districts of the city. Here you can confidently say that you have stepped beyond the tourist paths. Bars, cozy restaurant terraces, and lively communication await you.
Bebek. The highlight of the program is the historical district on the shores of the Bosphorus strait. Take a walk along the waterfront, breathe in the fresh air of the Bosphorus breeze, and enjoy the shimmering lights of night Istanbul. After all, as the Turks say, the Bosphorus is a place of power.
