About this experience
Istanbul is a multifaceted and incredibly interesting place. You will visit the European and Asian parts, visit the best viewing platforms, explore the local market, and learn the most curious facts from the city's history. I will do everything to ensure that our journey is easy, comfortable, and informative!
What to Expect
Istanbul at Your Fingertips
We will drive through the most colorful and picturesque places in the city. The program includes:
- Balat and Fener Districts - Here you will see the 'real' Istanbul. I will show you a Greek Orthodox school resembling a castle and the only Christian church in the city that has never ceased services and has not been converted into a mosque. You will also see the Iron Church and the Cathedral of St. George. And you will admire the colorful houses with laundry hanging between them.
- Egyptian Bazaar - you will learn when and by whose order it was built and what goods were traded here throughout history. You will also taste local teas and sweets.
- Taksim Square and Istiklal Avenue - one of the most picturesque corners of Turkey. It is full of the spirit of fun and freedom, abounds in bright signs, and is filled with music. It is a place where East and West, antiquity and modernity blend together. Here you will see Catholic churches and ancient mosques, local youth and travelers, retro trams and street artists.
- Galata Tower - a symbol of the New City and one of the oldest monuments in Istanbul. Optionally, you can climb the tower and enjoy views of the city from a height of 61 meters.
- Bosphorus Bridge - you will cross the first suspension bridge over the Bosphorus Strait, connecting the European and Asian parts of the city.
- Chamlidja Hill - from the height, you will see the Topkapi Palace, Galata Tower, mosques, fortresses, and the waters of the Bosphorus. You will also visit the Chamlidja Mosque and learn how the Ottomans managed to conquer Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire.
