About this experience
If the stones of Barcelona could talk, they would tell a lot of interesting stories about their inhabitants - ancient Laietans and Romans, Visigoths and Moors, about the Kingdom of Aragon and the freedom-loving Catalonia. The crooked streets of the Gothic Quarter are full of legends, and the warm sea air is filled with sinister secrets that you will learn about during the tour.
Program
We will walk the path once taken by ancient Romans, see their cemetery and the columns of the Augustan pagan temple. And then we will immerse ourselves in the eerie world of the Middle Ages. I will tell you why 13 white geese live in the courtyard of the Cathedral and what tragedy occurred within the walls of the Church of San Felipe Neri. We will sit on the steps of the Royal Palace, where Christopher Columbus walked in the 15th century, and see the square where the Great Inquisition burned heretics and witches.
Then you will find yourself at the Royal Square and witness with your own eyes the Guell Palace - a masterpiece of the architect Antonio Gaudi. We will have coffee in a bar frequented by Salvador Dali, Ernest Hemingway, and Pablo Picasso. And we will dive into the colorful world of La Rambla street with its restaurants, pastry shops, flower stalls, and living sculptures.
I will tell you amazing stories that took place in these places at different times. I promise you won't be bored!
