About this experience
In one day, you will explore the classic and unexplored Istanbul. Visit the famous landmarks of the European part: Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern. You will also stroll through the colorful Asian quarters: visit the eastern market, climb the hill of Camlica, and appreciate the untouched wooden architecture.
What to Expect
All the colors of Istanbul
You will visit two continents of Istanbul and learn interesting facts about its history and modern life. The excursion program includes:
- Camlica Hill - the highest point in the city. You will enjoy a magnificent view of Istanbul from above and have a cup of authentic Turkish coffee.
- Kuzguncuk District - a charming non-touristic neighborhood with colorful houses, intricate wooden windows, and balconies.
- Salacak Promenade - an excellent panoramic viewpoint. From here, you will see the Maiden's Tower and the panorama of the Old City. And I will tell you about the Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II, who conquered Constantinople.
- Kadikoy District - my native neighborhood, where I know every corner. I will show you its secret places that will help you uncover Istanbul from a different perspective.
- Hagia Sophia - the greatest structure of the city and the most revered place in Turkey for both Christians and Muslims. We will talk about how its history unfolded over the centuries.
- Basilica Cistern - an ancient underground water reservoir. You will walk through its mysterious chambers and learn about the movies filmed here.
