About this experience
An island of authentic Greece where we will spend 3 hours immersed in the atmosphere from head to toe. Through interactive storytelling, I will introduce you to the history of this legendary civilization, captivating both young listeners and their parents with myths. We will also climb the city's main peaks and imagine how Athens might have looked 1000 years ago.
What to Expect
From Hellas to Athens
To see enough without getting tired, we will visit 3 out of the city's famous 7 hills. On Mars Hill, I will give an introductory talk and assess your knowledge levels on certain topics. Children will be given the responsibility of marking off the route points we pass. Next, we will head to the Hill of the Muses, serving as a beautiful backdrop for myths and legends about Hellas. The last peak on the agenda is Areopagus. Here we will move from myths to facts and discuss the birth of the polis. You will also get a glimpse of a day in the life of an ordinary Hellene, learn more about the rich culture of the country of gods and heroes, all while enjoying bird's eye views.
Knowledge that will stick with you
I prefer dialogue over monologue – in my experience, both adults and children absorb information better this way. Throughout the walk, I will welcome your comments, questions, and remarks. By the way, the meeting becomes twice as enriching if you prepare a small list of interesting topics for you and your child beforehand.
