About this experience
While walking through the capital of Greece, we will talk about the country's past, culture, traditions, and legends. You will visit the Acropolis and learn what the Athenians received as a gift from the gods. You will hear about the differences between an odeon and a theater. You will visit an observation deck and enjoy the view of the city while listening to my stories about Greece's most scandalous souvenir and Hephaestus' passion for the goddess Athena.
What to Expect
At the Acropolis, you will see the smallest temple - the temple of the winged goddess Nike - and learn how the believers were accommodated there. You will hear about the phenomenal Parthenon temple. I will tell you who was sacrificed to the gods, what a symposium with Hetaeras is, and what the gods gave to the Athenians.
Near the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, you will understand the differences between an odeon and a theater. You will also see the theater - the Dionysus Theater, the oldest in the world. I will share why it was mandatory to visit it before.
We will climb to an observation platform, which offers a magnificent view of the Temple of Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, and the Panathenaic Stadium. We will walk through the center of Athens, where I will tell you where Socrates was poisoned, where democracy was born, and which district of the old city is the most colorful.
