What to Expect
Sanctuaries and Nature of Northern Armenia
From Vanadzor, we will head to the beautiful city of Stepanavan. Its landmarks include the picturesque Pushkin Pass and mountains with incredible views. We will see it all! Then we will descend to the picturesque village of Gyulagarak and visit the medieval Hnevank Monastery in the Kurtatin Gorge. In another ancient village, Amrakits, I will show you the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker—an example of the neo-Russian architectural style.
Lori Fortress and More
The road will lead us to the medieval Lori Fortress on the riverbank. In ancient times, it was the capital of a whole kingdom. Additionally, you will see interesting places nearby: the small chapel of the Holy Sign, the Akhtala Fortress, and the luxurious mansion of the industrialist Aramyanz. You will also visit several ancient monasteries: Oromair, Odzun, Sanain, and Akhpat. I will share the stories and legends associated with them.

- The tour will be conducted in an Opel Astra car. Inside the car, you will find: wi-fi, power bank, and delicious homemade coffee.
- The route can be adjusted according to your preferences.
- If needed, I can arrange a transfer for you from Yerevan or Zvartnots Airport—11000 drams.
- Entrance tickets are not included in the price: Lori Fortress—1500 drams, Aramyanz Mansion—1500 drams.
- The program is quite intensive, so I will consider your preferences for the route to ensure a smoother tour and make the experience unforgettable.
