About this experience
The history of the small Alanya spans not one dozen centuries and covers several epochs. In the company of a professional guide, you will visit the fortress, which was built by the Greeks and then passed into the hands of the Turkish sultans, and learn where to comfortably accommodate 2000 people.
What to expect
Walk through the fortress
The Alanya fortress, which we will ascend by cable car, has a history of 2300 years: first Greek, then Turkish. During the walking tour, we will admire the beauty of the city from a bird's eye view, and at the same time:
- I will show you the ancient 13th-century mosque and talk about the beautiful traditions of Islam
- You will see the cultural center and get acquainted with the life of the indigenous people
- We will enjoy real Turkish tea or the famous coffee
We descend by cable car and continue our journey.
Damlataş Healing Cave
The cave was discovered in 1948 near the famous Cleopatra Beach. We will go inside and be impressed by the stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over 15,000 years. The place is considered healing due to the special climate inside, which helps with asthma and other respiratory diseases. You will leave here with beautiful photos and vivid memories.
Red Tower
I will introduce you to another hallmark of Alanya. The Red Tower, a defensive masterpiece from the 13th century, stands out with its unusual octagonal shape. Once, it could accommodate up to 2000 warriors for the defense of the city. Now the tower functions as a museum, and from the 5th floor, you can enjoy unforgettable views of the sea, the fortress, and the city. Keep a couple of photos as a memory of this journey.
Organizational details
