About this experience
Fortunately, the capital managed to avoid both the destructive consequences of wars and ill-considered reconstructions with rebuildings. On a walk through the wonderful Prague, I will tell you about its centuries-old life in the narrow alleys of the Old Town, the doll houses of the Golden Lane, the magnificent palaces of the Lesser Town, and the majestic residence of the Czech rulers - Prague Castle.
What to expect
Prague Castle - the largest presidential residence in the world
First of all, you will visit the complex, which has been the residence of the rulers of the Czech Republic for over a thousand years. You will get acquainted with its spiritual and architectural center - St. Vitus Cathedral, learn about the construction of the temple, which lasted almost six centuries, and hear about the events from the lives of the kings and nobility who saw these walls. And then you will visit the famous Golden Lane, where I will tell you about the paradoxical coexistence of tiny houses with aristocrats' mansions and explain why it is believed that the heart of the republic beats here.
The magnificent and mystical Charles Bridge
You will hear all sorts of stories about the most famous bridge in Europe - from objectively historical to completely fantastic! During the walk, we will talk about everything little by little: you will learn about the magic of numbers that have connected the banks of the Vltava River with the same bridge since the distant 14th century. About the gallery of thirty impressive sculptures, which look original at different times of the day. And, of course, here you will not only appreciate the picturesque views, but also be able to make a wish with the Czech saint - John of Nepomuk.
Old Town Square - a place that takes your breath away
Here you will immerse yourself in a whirlwind of architectural styles and historical metamorphoses, including the largest medieval fairs, royal processions, and iconic uprisings. I will tell you about the legendary ancient astronomical clock - the Prague Orloj, which not only entertains tourists with an hourly show, but also preserves the memory of chilling pages of Czech history and even some secrets of the universe. All this is observed by the religious reformer with a tragic fate, Jan Hus - we will talk separately about him near his monument in the center of the square.
