About this experience
The wines of the Medoc region adorn the tables of the most prestigious restaurants, and rare vintage varieties are the pride of collectors. During the trip, we will visit renowned wineries, descend into cool wine cellars where guests are warmly welcomed and the curtain of secrets about the production of this drink is slightly lifted. You will taste exquisite Bordeaux wines and understand why the whole world is fascinated by them.
If you want to immerse yourself in the life of the winemaking region of Medoc with its famous chateaux and Grand Cru Classe wines, I invite you to go on a fascinating journey through the region from Bordeaux.
In the first half of the day, we will visit two beautiful chateaux. For example: Chateau 'Palmer' from the commune of Margaux (3 Grand Crus Classe 1855) and Chateau 'Giscours'. We will have lunch at a restaurant with local cuisine.
After lunch, we will head to the commune of Saint-Julien. We will visit Chateau 'Beychevelle' and its cellars, learn the unusual history of this estate, and of course, enjoy its wines. Next, we will visit the unique castle 'Cos d'Estournel' (2 Grand Cru Classe according to the 1855 classification) with its atypical architecture and exquisite wines.
During the trip, we will talk about the history of winemaking in this region, grape varieties, the classification of wines by Napoleon's decree in 1855, and the history of these places. I will pick you up by car from where you are staying, and we will set off on our journey!
