About this experience
Pink wine, luxurious views, and fascinating facts and legends - the perfect blend to get acquainted with the South of France! You will savor its aroma on my tour: I will take you to the vineyards where wines with fruity notes are made, and you will taste the best rosé. Learn about the fate of a castle associated with Mademoiselle Chanel, and then enjoy a snack while admiring the snow-capped Alps. My stories and natural beauty will reveal the secrets of the southern region.
What to Expect
Getting to know wineries
Along the way to the vineyards, you will see the suburbs of Nice and hear about their inhabitants. At the wineries, I will explain who and when started winemaking on the French Riviera. You will learn about the region's climate, the aromas that enhance the local wines, and why rosé should be drunk young, while white or red wine is better for aging.
Legend of Coco Chanel
I will take you to a winery that houses a rococo-style castle on its land. I will tell you the tangled story associated with it, and you will understand why the brand Chanel's symbol appeared on its stained glass windows. Premium wines are made here, which only get better and more expensive with age. You will taste them, and I will give recommendations on which one to buy as a gift. Finally, we will stroll through the vineyards and admire the peaks of the Alps, where snow lies for 6 months a year.
Additional Options
If desired, you can book a tour of the wine cellars and learn the secrets of wine production. The tour will be conducted by an English-speaking guide, and I will assist with translation.
