About this experience
You are in the homeland of the greatest French wines—Bordeaux. Where else if not here is the best place to try them and learn more about them? You have probably heard these words and names—Medoc, Saint-Emilion, chateau, appellation, terroir... It sounds beautiful! But how to understand this variety of wines in a way that is interesting, and the knowledge remains in memory for years? I will help you, bienvenue!
What to expect
I am a professional winemaker-technologist, I make wine in Bordeaux myself, so wine is literally my life.
For those who want to not only drink wine but also understand it, I have developed an individual master class on tasting, where you will:
- explore the main wine regions of Bordeaux
- learn the stages of tasting
- learn to identify notes and aromas of spices, fresh berries, minerals, and mown grass in a wine glass
- understand how to choose wine in a shop and restaurant
- learn about the main tricks that newcomers fall for and end up buying quite mediocre wines at inflated prices
Thus, you will not just drink wine, but taste it, and therefore receive full and true pleasure from the nectar of the gods.
How the master class goes
I will take you to one of the wine bars in the city. There we will taste 3 classic wines from the main regions of Bordeaux of my choice and analyze them in detail during the tasting.
Organizational details
- The wine is included in the cost of the tasting. If you want to taste other wines as well, you will need to pay for them separately.
- I want to draw your attention to the fact that tasting is not a process of drinking to get drunk, but rather an enjoyment of trying wine in small quantities to better understand its taste, so the tasting will not affect your condition after it ends
- All the wines you like you will be able to buy for yourself or your loved ones. As Evelina Khromchenko said, the best souvenir from a trip is the one that can be eaten or drunk, and I fully agree with her! Especially if it is a bottle of good wine from Bordeaux.
