What to Expect
The GUM Market - A Kaleidoscope of Flavors and Scents
Armenians are truly an Eastern people, and they enjoy bargaining - I invite you to try your hand at this art. For this and for gastronomic discoveries, we will go to the most popular market in Yerevan. Both children and parents will appreciate Armenian and Eastern sweets, dried fruits. I will help you buy the best edible souvenirs and share secrets of Armenian specialties.
The World of Chocolate: Masterclass and Tasting
Next, we will head to the neighboring city of Ashtarak, to the Chocolate House. At the factory, you will learn how chocolate is made and watch a part of this process through the window. Just like Willy Wonka allowed tasting everything in his factory, here you will be offered to taste freshly-made chocolate. If you wish, you can also participate in hand-wrapping bars, take a photo with a virtual cocoa tree, and make purchases in the shop.
Bonus: 7th Century Church
After the delicious part, I will take you to one of the gems of Armenian architecture that is not shown on standard tours. Small and harmonious, it will be remembered by you with a legend of unrequited love.
