About this experience
We invite kids and their parents for an exciting tour in western Armenia! In 4 hours you will see an ancient monastery, stroll among giant Armenian alphabet letters, wander through picturesque Ashtarak, and most importantly - visit the hidden rooms of a chocolate factory away from the eyes of tourists! You will learn how chocolate is made and try your hand at this art.
What to Expect
- Saghmosavank Monastery, named after a church song. You will admire the beautiful buildings towering over a 90-meter gorge and find out which room is the oldest.
- Alley of Letters - a monument in the village of Artashavan, created for the 1600th anniversary of the Armenian alphabet. You will see 39 Armenian letters and take a photo next to the one that starts your name.
- Chocolate Factory. You will hear how chocolate appeared and see the process of its creation. And you will also try to make it yourself!
- After a delicious stay at the factory, you will have a walk in Ashtarak. You will see a 13th-century bridge and ancient churches. We will tell you why Amayak from Ashtarak bought himself boots and share the legend of the sisters.
- At the end of the walk, you can optionally relax in a fairy-tale cafe and enjoy donuts with cocoa. And every child will receive a souvenir gift!
