About this experience
Exploring the manners of Florentines means delving into the character of Florence itself. This unique tour will take you to the main sights and hidden corners of the historic center, where the real life of the city is bustling. You will learn about the religiousness of Florentines, their habits, food preferences, entertainment, and fashion. And most importantly - you will connect the past and present of Florence through the daily life of its inhabitants.
What to expect
Life, cuisine, and traditions of Florence - yesterday and today
In the corners of the historic center, I will share my many years of observations of Florentines and tell you what the city's life was like in past epochs. You will learn how local residents work and relax, study, heal, and drive. The sights of Florence will also contribute and tell about the Florentine everyday life: on Piazza Santa Maria Novella we will talk about the religiousness of Florentines, on San Antonino Street - about their modern tastes and habits, and on Piazza Tavolini next to the tripe stand we will touch on the inexhaustible topic of Florentine food. On Beautiful Women Street I will tell you about the former brothels located here, and at the Palace of the Ferragamo family we will discuss the history of Italian fashion.
Everything you need to know about Florentines
Step by step, you will remotely get acquainted with the local residents and understand their character. Together, we will mentally sketch the image of a "typical Florentine" - proud and a little quarrelsome, ironic and jealous, connoisseur of good wine and tasty food, a believer (although it is almost impossible to find a young Italian nun), scolding the government, loud and actively gesticulating, a lover of football, spectacles, women, mom, and their own children.
