Ready for an unusual journey? I will take you to a real fruit paradise - to the Ararat Valley. You will visit a lost fortress with views of Martian landscapes. Take a walk through the canyon and admire Ararat from the best viewing platform. Explore the 'deep pit' and learn about the features of the Armenian church.
What to expect
Khore Virap Monastery
The best view of Ararat is from here, from the Artashat hill, where the life of an ancient capital once boiled. Together, we will walk around the monastery, the name of which translates as 'deep pit'. Who was held captive here? You will find out on the tour! We will also talk about the history and features of the Armenian church.
Angel Canyon
It turns out that Armenia also has canyons. Some say that angels created them, perhaps that's true. You will enjoy a short trek through desert landscapes to the canyon, where you will feel like you are in the Wild West. Along the way, I will tell you how and when such landscapes formed in our country.
Tapi Fortress
On the outskirts of the Ararat Valley lies the medieval Tapi fortress. It offers magnificent views of the mountains and orchards. Here, we will drink coffee and enjoy the scenery, savoring the fresh air and the beauty of nature.
Organizational details
- The trip is by car with air conditioning Opel Zafira B (accommodates 4 adults, 2 children). There is a child seat (booster). Refreshing wipes and bottled water will be prepared for you.
- In total, we will travel 150 km, part of the route is off-road.
- The tour involves a walking tour - about 300 meters - to the canyon.
- Lunch at a restaurant is paid separately (optional).
