What to Expect
Embark on a unique journey where you will learn a lot about the past and present of the archipelago. Enjoy incredible views, visit volcanic beaches, see breathtaking landscapes, taste local dishes, and much more.
The first stop will be in the town of Camara de Lobos, where Churchill used to visit. Learn about the history of this place and why the English Prime Minister loved this town. Then, we will visit a Madeira wine factory to try all 4 types (dry, medium dry, medium sweet, sweet) and learn about the history and production process of this wine.
Next, we will visit the town of Ribeira Brava, home to a famous 17th-century church. Taste a local drink made from sugarcane rum, lemon, and honey, while I share its history with you.
We will cross the island from south to north and arrive in Sao Vicente. See the difference between the ocean on the north coast and the south coast. Visit a market offering cork products, 'bordado' embroidery, and wool. Relax on the black sand beach in Seixal and take a swim in the natural lava pools of Porto Moniz created by volcanic lava.
You can have lunch at a seafood restaurant to taste swordfish and green wine. Then, we will head to Pico do Areeiro at 1500 meters to admire the island from above, witnessing both the southern and northern shores.
