Travel plan
- We will start with visiting the famous Christ statue, a full copy of the symbol of Rio de Janeiro.
- You will visit the island's first capital - the city of Machico. Learn why the first discoverers landed there and raised a symbolic "padrao" (stone pillar). Also, hear the legend about the city's name.
- From the top of Pico do Arieiro (1818 m), panoramic views of the island, ocean, southern, and northern coasts of Madeira will be revealed to you. We will walk above the clouds and take incredible photos!
- Visit a trout farm in the picturesque village of Ribeiro Frio. Walk through the relic laurel forest along the levada, at the end of which you will be greeted by new beautiful landscapes.
- A special part of the tour - charming triangular houses with thatched roofs in Santana.
- After lunch at a charming restaurant, we will take you to the easternmost point of the island - Cape Sao Lourenco. Here, you will enjoy the ocean, rugged coastline, and take atmospheric photos.
- We will also visit the town of Porto da Cruz, where a factory producing rum from sugarcane is located. If desired, you will see the production process and taste Madeiran rum, as well as a local drink based on rum - poncha.
