About this experience
Get ready for a rich and fantastically beautiful day in Madeira! Together we will cover over 150 km and make about 10 stops. You will see captivating ocean views, relict forest, beach with volcanic sand and a waterfall, high plateau, and picturesque valley. We will tell you about the formation of the island and how it thrives today.
What to expect
From a fishing village to a high plateau
We will start from the picturesque fishing village of Camara de Lobos. You will learn about the local way of life and taste their favorite drinks. Then, overcoming the trembling in your legs, you will walk on a balcony with a glass floor at a height of 580 m. But the adventures don't end there! We will drive through the valley along the 'fast river' and see the ancient chapel in the town of Sao Vicente. We will also stop at the high plateau of Paul da Serra — the only flat place on the island.
Enchanted forest, beach with black sand, and the 'Bride's Veil' waterfall
You will visit a magical forest whose trees remember the island's first discoverers. Enjoy the natural pools in the charming town of Porto Moniz and optionally take a dip. Touch the legends of the incredibly beautiful village of Ribeira da Janela and walk on the beach with black volcanic sand. Admire the 'Bride's Veil' waterfall and take many beautiful photos from the viewpoint of Encumeada.
