About this experience
I will show you all the 'postcards' of Hamburg, tell you about the city's development, the mentality of its residents, and the most interesting local establishments. You will stroll along the picturesque waterfront, the Red Light District, climb to the best viewing platforms, and try the famous Hamburgers with herring!
What to Expect
Hamburg's Symbols
The tour will start at the main train station building, from where we will walk along the shopping street to the Town Hall Square, take a look at the historic Town Hall and admire the Hygieia Fountain in its inner courtyard. Then we will walk towards the Alster River, where you will learn why Hamburg's swans are so beloved. I will show you the local 'millionaires' street' and the ancient St. Nicholas' Church, which has a new elevator - you will climb to the observation deck and enjoy a bird's eye view of the city.
Stroll along the waterfront and the Red Light District
You will walk in the port area, see the world's largest warehouse district, famous for its informal museums, and visit another wonderful viewing point, from where Hamburg can be seen for miles ahead. You will walk along the picturesque city waterfront and taste local aromatic Hamburgers with herring and various seafood delicacies. In the evening, if desired, we can visit the no less colorful than Amsterdam, Red Light District, famous for its active nightlife and free spirit.

How the Tour Goes
- I will adjust the route according to your preferences
- If desired, I will take photos of you for free on my or your camera. I will send the photos by email 1-2 days after the tour. Please let me know in advance if you are interested in this.
- I will help you buy tickets, order a taxi before and after the tour, and simply navigate the city
Additional Expenses
- Transportation, food and drinks, entrance tickets to the observation deck at St. Nicholas' Church - €5/person, day pass - €6.30 for adults and €2.40 for children (6-14 years old)
- If there are more than 5 people and/or you want to extend the tour, additional payment for each hour or participant - €30
