Enjoy stunning views of Athens, discover the sanctuaries of the gods, and hear about the achievements of Pericles.
What to expect
Immersion in the past
We will start the ascent to the Acropolis with a walk on its southern slope, where the sanctuaries of the god of healing Asclepius and the patron of winemaking Dionysus are located. We will see the first theater in world history - it was here that the concepts of drama, tragedy, and comedy originated. We will encounter another ancient structure - the Odeon of Herodes Atticus - and talk about the competitions held in it.
Inside the Acropolis
After reaching the magnificent Propylaea, serving as the ceremonial entrance to the Acropolis, you will enjoy a wonderful view of the island of Salamis and the entire western part of Athens. And when you climb to the top of the hill, you will appreciate the famous temples of Parthenon and Erechtheion. I will tell you when and how they were built, how they were used in different historical periods, and where the dispute between Athens and Poseidon took place.
