About this experience
Even if you have been to Prague many times, you will be amazed when you see with your own eyes how many unusual and strange monuments and sculptures adorn this city. You may have passed by some of them without even suspecting the wonders hidden in the nearby courtyard or right above your head. Join us on our atmospheric walk through the city's most incredible sculptures.
Program
We will show you the three most unusual equestrian monuments in Europe (of course, the famous monument on Wenceslas Square is not included!), you will see what two men are doing in the restaurant courtyard, what plans the intelligent-looking elderly man has, where and why the little car is rushing, how Conscience looks, and much more.
We have designed a route that will allow us to see at least 12 truly unusual and diverse modern monuments and sculptural compositions - strange, amusing, improper, touching, and sentimental. We will tell you their history, how and why they appeared in these places.
As you will see, all these monuments actually help understand the Czech national character with their ironic and even mocking attitude towards life.
We will also show monuments full of real sadness and grief. And this is also very typical for Czechs - their national memory is very long. It is not common here to forget the tragic moments of their history. Just the fact that the names of almost everyone who died during the occupation and the Prague Uprising can be found on different streets and buildings speaks to that.
We will also tell you about fantastic projects that were never implemented and about sculptures that have irretrievably left the city. What a pity.
