About this experience
Even if you don't believe in mysticism, in Prague you have no chance to remain a skeptic. Over the centuries, the city has become saturated with legends, riddles, and magical phenomena - on this walk you will see that. In the light of the street lamps, Prague will appear in a different light, and I will complement this 'picture' with unbelievable facts and tales.
What to expect
City Mythology
The most interesting and mysterious stories are always associated with amazing people - you will meet many characters from Prague's legends. On the Old Town Square, I will share with you the recipe for a miraculous health elixir invented by the famous astronomer Tycho Brahe. In the Jewish Quarter, you will learn what the attic of the Old-New Synagogue hides and how a church of the Holy Spirit ended up in the non-Christian district. At the Coal Market, you will hear about a wandering actor named Janek and his legendary amber mask. And on Marian Square, you will see the image of Rabbi Leva and understand why people turn to him to fulfill their cherished wishes.
Mysticism of Prague's Streets
We will not only talk about famous Prague citizens but also visit 'places of power'. Passing between Charles University and the Estates Theatre, we will perform a simple ritual and find out what you are inclined towards: sciences or arts. We will stroll down a lane where alchemists used to live - I will show you one of their houses, in the basement of which is a medieval alchemical laboratory. You will also delve into the hidden meaning of Mozart's famous opera 'Don Giovanni', see the building where treasures are possibly still hidden to this day, and rejuvenate where time goes backwards.
