About this experience
I invite you to an eventful one-day journey, relevant in all seasons! You will see the majestic Burana Tower and hear about the city of Balasagun, of which it was a part. You will also visit the fairy-tale-like Tuuk Canyon with mountain rivers and evergreen spruces. On the way, I will keep you entertained and tell you many interesting facts about local traditions, nature, and everyday life.
What to expect
Burana Tower
You will see the grand minaret from the 9-11th centuries and touch the history of the Karakhanids era. You will also appreciate the collection of stone statues 'balbals' and ancient petroglyphs — I will tell you when and for what purpose they were created. Additionally, we will visit a small museum near the tower: it contains artifacts from different time periods found in this region. Among them: ceramic items, coins, and household objects.
Tuuk Canyon
We will visit the picturesque wide canyon with low slopes densely overgrown with shrubs and Tien Shan evergreen spruces. It will amaze you with magical views throughout the year. I will explain how the canyon was formed, what part of the natural system it belongs to, what plants grow there, and what animals inhabit it.
