About this experience
We will show you two amazing natural attractions of our country. First, we will head to the Konorchek Canyon - Kyrgyz Grand Canyon in miniature. Time seems to stand still here, and you will understand why. And then we will visit the Burana Tower - one of the oldest structures in Central Asia. We will tell you its unusual story.
What to Expect
Konorchek Canyon
This magical place is located 125 km from the capital, in the Boom Gorge. You can reach the canyon only through the rocky labyrinths along the dried river bed. Rocky columns made of red sandstone stretch for many kilometers. Time seems to stand still here! You will enjoy picturesque landscapes and see the main attraction - an extinct volcano that is about 3 million years old.
Burana Tower
On the way back from the Konorchek Canyon, we will visit the Burana Tower - the remains of the city of Balasagun, the capital of the Kara-Khanid Empire in the 9th century. Archaeologists believe that the ancient city extended much further than the tower, encompassing shops, markets, baths, and residential houses. Important artifacts are stored here, telling the story of Kyrgyzstan and its role on the Great Silk Road. We will definitely study them.
During the excursion you will learn
