About this experience
Join me on a diverse mountain journey combining incredible landscapes and immersion in the rich history of Kyrgyzstan. You will see a 10th-century minaret and learn about the vanished city of Balasagun, marked on ancient Turkish maps as the center of the world. Walk to the mouth of the river to the Konorchek canyons and relax in the hot springs of Issyk-Ata.
What to Expect
Incredible Kyrgyzstan
You will appreciate breathtaking views and learn a lot about our magical country. The tour includes:
- Konorchek Canyons — you will walk between majestic rocks along the bed of a long-dried river, enjoying the surrounding Martian landscapes. I will reveal how the canyons were formed and how they are related to the ancient Segizhan-Shokny volcano.
- Burana Tower — a magnificent minaret from the 10th-11th centuries located in the picturesque Chui Valley. I will tell you about the medieval city of Balasagun, on the territory of which the tower stood.
- Hot Springs — we will visit the Issyk-Ata gorge and bathe in the hot springs, first mentioned in the 7th century. I will show you an artifact from those times: a large stone with the image of Buddha.
