What to expect
Experience all the flavors of Istanbul in one day!
- Breakfast - the most logical start to a gastronomic walk and the most important meal for Turks! You will try menemen - a classic Turkish omelette with vegetables - and taste local cheeses with a cup of aromatic tea.
- The culinary adventure continues at the Egyptian Bazaar: here you will explore traditional spices, taste the delicious pastry kunefe with cheese and pistachios, and Baklava, learn the secrets of their preparation, and invigorate yourself with a glass of freshly squeezed juice.
- We will make our way through the crowd of tourists to the Galata Bridge to try the famous balik-ekmek - fish in lavash, cooked before your eyes. And we can wash it down with shalgam, which tastes like pickles in brine.
- Our gastronomic journey continues across the Bosphorus to Asian Istanbul, where you will try the national Iskender kebab in tomato sauce with yogurt.
- And the aromatic conclusion of the walk will be a cup of Turkish coffee with a magnificent view of the whole Istanbul from a height of 260 meters.

On our way, we can also taste less popular but no less tasty Istanbul street treats: for example, the famous kumpir baked potato, stuffed mussels, sesame simit bread, boiled corn, fried chestnuts, various kebabs, or Cig kofte - raw lentil patties. Rest assured, after this walk you will begin to understand Istanbul's gastronomy and its flavors as well as a local resident!
