In the west of Cyprus, on the peaks of famous mountains and at their foothills, you will immerse yourself in local life and discover all the secrets of the island. Traditions and customs, everyday life and habits of Cypriots will be revealed to you in the Troodos Mountains.
What to expect
Idyll of Cypriot villages
You will soak up the rural charm in mountain settlements - Lania, Pedoulas, and Omodos. You will learn why the first one is called the village of artists and stroll through its picturesque streets. In Pedoulas, I will take you to the Church of Archangel Michael and share its history. I will explain what the village of Omodos is famous for and talk about Cypriot traditions. We will discuss the way of life in the mountain villages of Troodos and the peculiarities of the locals' character.
Charm of ancient island sanctuaries
I will take you to the mountain monasteries that preserve memories of antiquity. At Trooditissa Monastery, you will hear stories about the miraculous icon kept here and understand how this religious abode came to be. At the mountaintop, amidst tall pines, you will admire Kykkos Monastery and understand why it is called royal and why it is famous worldwide.
Subtleties of local gastronomy
Of course, I will not only reveal the culture, history, and life of Cypriots to you - you will also experience the tastes and aromas of the island. At the "Lamburi" winery, we will discuss the production of local wine: you will tour the winery's facilities and taste its finest wines. Afterward, we will have lunch at a tavern where you can try Halloumi cheese, lamb kleftiko, moussaka, Greek salad, and lamb ribs. We will discuss the island's national cuisine and interesting local customs.
Also, get ready to conquer Olympus: we will climb to the summit of the highest mountain in Cyprus to enjoy the picturesque view of the island.

- The route is described to the maximum extent possible and can be adjusted according to your request and preferences: for example, we can remove some locations to spend more time in others, or minimize the path through mountain serpentine roads if you have difficulty with travel.
