What to Expect
Omodos Mountain Village
First, you will head to the unique wine village of Omodos, which has preserved its ancient beauty. This is a paradise for photography enthusiasts: narrow streets lined with pots of flowers, white stone houses with tiled roofs, and ancient churches. You will get to know the lives of local residents, have a tiny cup of aromatic Cypriot coffee, and walk around the territory of the Holy Cross Monastery, one of the oldest in Cyprus, where you can visit the museum of Byzantine icons and an exhibition of local artists' paintings.
Tasting Local Wines and Bread
Next, we will visit the ancient winery of Omodos, where you will taste excellent local wines, including the world-famous Cypriot muscats, the renowned Commandaria, and the robust Zivania grape vodka. Then in a local bakery, you will try traditional rustic bread made with rose water and carob syrup, as well as fresh kozinak from local nuts and churchkhela.
Relics of the Trooditissa Monastery
On the way to the famous Trooditissa Monastery, you will enjoy fruit orchards, pine forests, and stop at viewpoints with stunning views of the Cypriot mountains. The monastery attracts believers from all over Cyprus to put on the Virgin's Belt and pray for the birth of a healthy child. And at the pure mountain spring, you can collect holy water.
Troodos Landscapes and Milomeri Waterfall
During our journey along the Troodos mountain range, you will see the most beautiful natural spots in Cyprus: walk to the mountain waterfall of Milomeri and climb a picturesque path to the top of Mount Olympus, located at an elevation of 2000 meters!
Cypriot Sweets
At the "Katerina" confectionery factory, you will taste traditional Cypriot preserves made from walnuts and almonds, cucumbers and tomatoes, onions and garlic, orange peels, and pumpkin. It's a wonderful opportunity to discover new flavors and get acquainted with unusual Cypriot desserts.
Lania - Artists' Village
You will stroll through one of the most beautiful villages on the island - Lania, which attracts travelers not only with its architecture but also with an extraordinary atmosphere created by photos of local residents hung on the walls. Looking at these pictures, you will learn how people lived at the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries. Here you can visit an artist's workshop, an ancient winery, and the beautiful Church of the Virgin of Valanas.
